Melbourne Cat Vets is Expanding: New Services and Facilities for Your Cat in Richmond

Updated: Mar 24

We've got some exciting news to share with you! Melbourne Cat Vets is expanding, and it's not just a facelift. We're adding a bigger hospital in Richmond, introducing new, advanced services, and partnering with an in-house boarding facility for complete care of your feline friend. Over the next 12 months, we'll be rolling out updates on our progress to keep you in the loop.

Expanding to Better Serve Our Feline Patients

More Room, More Services, More Availability

At the heart of our expansion into the second hospital is our desire to create more space for care. This means more room for treatments and increased appointment availability, with the same relaxed atmosphere for both cats and their owners.

Partnering with the same architect and builder responsible for our Fitzroy clinic, the new hospital will have a familiar comforting and calm vibe. You'll also see many of the friendly team members you already know - as well as some new cat experts for you to meet!

Advanced Services on the Horizon

In addition to our existing services we'll be offering -

CT Scanning: Precision in diagnostics is crucial, and our new CT scanner will allow us to get a clearer picture of your cat's health, leading to more effective treatment plans.

Radioiodine Treatment: Introducing this treatment option provides an advanced approach to managing hyperthyroidism for our patients.

A Future 24-Hour ICU: We're planning an eventual introduction of a 24-hour ICU. This means that expert care will be available around the clock, providing peace of mind that your cat is in good hands, day or night.

Boarding That You Can Trust:

We understand the stress that comes with leaving your cat behind when you travel, especially if they have a medical condition. The partnered boarding facility will be a place where your cat can feel safe and secure, plus the benefit of professional care from expert cat carers.
